We are here again with another Rescue disk, actually the very last already. It is Avira and it is good. It is very good.

It found a lot of Trojans, namely 4 and it was fast as hell.

The final result is :

I am back again with some Rescue disk, and this time it is Panda Safedisk. It did not even finish. It looks all right but it did do absolutely nothing at all. This is in congruence with my experience using the products and doing support for them on other people's computers.

I am sorry Panda Antivirus, you are probably pretty good in some areas but sorry not for me.

We are here with Kaspersky. It is my favorite product when it comes to anti virus software. It found three trojans, so less than BitDefender and F-Secure. It is the same as AVG. So the rescue disk is all right. It did find other trojans than F-Secure and BitDefender, but there is overlap with the other software.

We are here with the god awful slow as fuck F-Secure. It took 14 hours to scan my hard drive and it found the same things other disks find in like max 2 hours. It works this one, but it is slow. Also it is necessary to have this bad boy strapped up to the Internet or it won't run properly. So have a Ethernet cable ready because wireless is laughable with this disk.

It found 4 viruses;
dexigner gadget Trojan.script 76249
REG Trojan.Generic 1328520
REG2 Trojan.Generic 1357480
UT Trojan.Generic 1191693

Which is pretty good, so it does work.

We are here to the rescue with BitDefender and it is quite the awesome looking one. It features a very nice set of tools all within a Linux environment. More importantly though what did it find? Well it found 4 Trojans, 3 Generic ones and 1 Script one. It is our current leader and most definitely a title winner.
